February 17th Meeting

Come join us starting at 7PM and learn about decoction mashing with us, which is a traditional mashing technique for brewing beer (remove some of the mash, boil it, and mix it back in the mash tun to raise the temperature of the mash).

Consider participating in Iron-Brewer! Doesn’t matter if it’s your first time brewing we have mentors to help if you’re not experienced yet but signing up for Iron-Brewer is a great way to push your brewing knowledge to new limits and challenge yourself to do things you’ve never considered doing before.

This month’s Iron-Brewer challenge was to brew the most Saison-y Saison possible, so we’ll evaluate the three contestants contributions and pick a winner and two new participants to compete in April’s competition. The format is changing slightly, so the challenge will be chosen at random and everyone will be able to participate.

We will also have a curated Style Sherpa experience exploring a specific category of fermented grain based beverages through commercial examples.
